Company start-ups recovers in the Basque Country with the best February in 10 years

The company start-up rate sped up in the Basque Country last month with its best February in the last ten years. After the setbacks in December and January, the setting up of companies took off again in a period that is traditionally negative given the inertia that follows the Christmas holidays.

The Confebask monthly report on the companies registered with the Social Security system showed an upturn with growth of 232 companies in February compared to January and 290 in relation to February 2016.  We have to go back to 2007, just before the start of the crisis, when 225 business projects were launched, to find similar figures for February.
